SAE Pressed Wool Felt

Pressed wool felt is made from high quality wool fibers which are mechanically pressed using heat, moisture and pressure.

The process is mandated by SAE standards which determine the wool content, density, and other properties. The lower SAE numbers are more machinable, and have greater vibration absorption and abrasion resistance. SAE felt is also unaffected by sunlight and maintains its original form after long periods of stress.

Please note – our grey wool felt is a natural fiber – the color/shade of grey may vary from different production runs and/or prior samples. The F15N and F26N materials tend to run darker.
